March 2017 Students-of-the-Month Announced!

Congratulations to the March 2017 Students-of-the-Month:

 Senior: Kayla Santos – Kayla is a resident of Jersey City and a graduate of St. Aloysius Elementary Academy. She is a De La Salle Scholar whose favorite subject is AP Chemistry. She is the president of the National Honor Society as well as being a member of the Cooking Club and Model UN. She is co-captain of the Hawk varsity girls’ tennis team where she competes as first singles. She is also a member of the girls bowling teams as well as being the manager of the boys’ tennis team. She plans on attending Ramapo College in the fall.

 

Junior: Ryan Webb – Ryan transferred from Belleville High School East in Belleville, Illinois (a suburb of St. Louis) at the beginning of her sophomore year. She is a graduate of Wolf Branch Middle School in Swansea, Illinois. Currently she is a resident of Jersey City. She is a member of the National Honor Society whose favorite subject is Math. She was voted “Student of the Month” in her sophomore year too. Ryan is co-captain of the Hawks Girls Soccer team where she plays striker. She is also a member of the Hawk Track & Field team where she competes in numerous events. Outside of Hudson, she volunteers at the Jersey City Medical Center.

 

For the first time ever, there was a tie in the Sophomore Class!

 

Sophomore: Danielle Acanto – Danielle is a resident of Jersey City and a graduate of Golden Door Charter School. She is a De La Salle Scholar whose favorite subject is math. She has attained first honors every marking period this year. She is a member of the Model UN and the Rosary Club. She is co-captain of the Hawk varsity girls’ tennis team where she competes as second singles. She is also a member of the inaugural girls’ rugby team.

Sophomore: Kristopher Salinas – Kristopher is a resident of Hoboken and a graduate of Wallace Elementary School in Hoboken. He is a De La Salle Scholar whose favorite subject is history. He is a member of the Hawk varsity baseball squad where he pitches and plays outfield and middle infield. He received a sportsmanship award when he played youth baseball and currently plays on a travel baseball team.

 

Freshman: Juliette Pangilinan – Juliette is a resident of Jersey City and a graduate of St. Aloysius Elementary Academy. She is an honor student whose favorite subject is English Literature. Her cousin Justin Castillo ’07 is an alumnus of Hudson Catholic and her older sister Carissa is a member of the junior class.
