January 2017 Students-of-the-Month Announced

Congratulations to the following students on be selected as the January 2017 “Student-of-the-Month” for their respective grade level:

Senior: Matthew Hernandez – Matt is a resident of Jersey City and a graduate of St. Nicholas School. He is an honor student as well as a De LaSalle Scholar whose favorite subject is Calculus. He has been voted “Student of the Month” in all four years. He is a member of the varsity tennis team cooking clubs well as the varsity tennis team. Next year, Matt plans on attending Penn State University and pursue a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

Junior: Kimberly Flores – Kimberley is a resident of Jersey City and a graduate of Golden Door Charter School. She is an honor student whose favorite subject is Anatomy and Physiology. She is also a member of the Hawks softball team.

Sophomore: Arlette Huesca – Arlette is a resident of Jersey City and a graduate of PS 28 Christa McAuliffe School. She is a De LaSalle Scholar and honor student who loves all of her subjects. She is the secretary of the Student Council as well as being a leader in the Lasallian Youth Interact. She is also a member of the Fashion Club, The Commentator, Model UN, Mock Trial, the Rotary Club and the Hawk Drama Society in the upcoming production of “Legally Blonde.” She is a member of the Girls soccer team where she players midfield. Outside of Hudson Catholic she works as a lifeguard.

Freshman: Mayelin Martinez – Mayelin is a resident of Secaucus and a graduate of the Huber Street School. She is a De LaSalle Scholar and her favorite class is Biology. She is a member of the Sectional and County Champion Hawks Girl’s Volleyball. She is also a member of the Hawks Drama Society as well as playing the piano. Outside of Hudson she plays club volleyball.
