Hudson Catholic Walks Out

Students, faculty and staff joined together in one voice to participate in the National Walk Out on Wednesday, March 14th in solidarity for the 17 people killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Hudson Catholic commemorated the tragedy by participating in a prayer service at St. Aedan’s Church followed by a Walk Out around the school building. One of the most poignant comments came from Arlette Huesca who reflected on the importance of sensible change in school safety saying “I feel like the smallest coffins cause the biggest pain…” After the Walk Out, the students participated in several activities to discuss their feelings on various topics, including gun violence, school safety, mental health and how they can create a more supportive and caring environment in our school and their local communities.
